Basics

Make your first drop

A drop is a sticky note. Notes, lists and reminders are all drops.

  1. Tap the + button (New drop on the web).
  2. Type what's on your mind. The first line becomes the title.
  3. Pick a tag if you like, then tap Drop (Save on the web).
  4. Your drop lands on the board. Tap it any time to open, edit or pin it.

Lists vs. reminders

A list is a drop with checkboxes. A reminder is a drop with a time.

  1. When you write a drop, switch it to To-do list to get checkboxes.
  2. Tap a box to check it off. Finished lists move to Completed.
  3. Add a time to get a notification when it's due: tap Remind me (on iPhone, choose Reminder and set When; on the web, Add reminder).
  4. Reminders can repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, and you can snooze them.
  5. A list can have a reminder too.

Using Today

Today puts your reminders and calendar events on one timeline.

  1. Open the Today tab.
  2. The line shows where you are in the day. Anything past it is behind you.
  3. Tap a row to open it, or check it off right there.
  4. Pick another day in the calendar to plan ahead.
  5. On iPhone or Android, connect your calendar in Settings → Calendar to see your events here too.

Capture by email, text and share

You don't have to open MinDrop to save something.

  1. Email: forward any email from your account address to your MinDrop address (it's in Settings under Email to MinDrop, usually [email protected]). It becomes a drop.
  2. Share: in almost any app, tap Share and pick MinDrop to save a link, photo, PDF or text.
  3. Text (premium): set up your MinDrop number in Settings, then text it from an allowed phone.
  4. Widgets: add a MinDrop widget to your Home Screen for one-tap drops.

Tell Mia with the Action Button

On iPhone, hold one button and say what to remember.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone and go to Action Button.
  2. Choose Shortcut, then pick MinDrop → Tell Mia.
  3. Hold the Action Button and say something like "Remind me to call Sam at 4".
  4. Mia saves it to your board. You can also say "Tell Mia in MinDrop" to Siri.

KindleDrop: write on a Kindle Scribe

Your handwritten notebooks back up to MinDrop and can become tasks.

  1. On a computer, open MinDrop → Settings → KindleDrop.
  2. Download your pairing file, connect the Scribe over USB and copy the file onto it.
  3. Write in a notebook on the Kindle as usual. It syncs to MinDrop.
  4. Mia can read your pages and suggest tasks and reminders. Nothing is added until you approve it.
  5. On the Kindle, open the browser and go to mindrop.app/kindle for a simple board.

Meet Mia

Mia is your assistant. Say or type it however you like and she sorts it into drops.

  1. Tap Talk to Mia (the microphone on the web) and talk or type, for example "Buy milk, eggs and bread, and remind me Friday at 6 to call Mom".
  2. Mia makes a grocery list and a reminder with the time filled in.
  3. Say "add coffee to my grocery list" and she adds to the list you already have.
  4. Check what she made before it saves, and edit anything.
  5. Mia is a premium feature.

MeetDrop: meeting notes for you

Record a meeting and get a summary, decisions and to-dos.

  1. On iPhone, open MeetDrop and tap Record a meeting when it starts.
  2. On a Mac, open the MeetDrop tab on the web and choose Get the Mac app. It sits in the menu bar and offers to record when a call starts. No bot joins your call.
  3. When you stop, you get a transcript, a summary and action items.
  4. Tap an action item to turn it into a to-do or a reminder.
  5. The audio is deleted once the transcript is ready. MeetDrop is a premium feature.

Themes, colors and background

Make the board look the way you like.

  1. Open Settings → Appearance.
  2. Choose Dark, Light, or follow your device's setting.
  3. Pick an accent color.
  4. Add your own background photo. Your notes stay easy to read on top of it.
  5. Turn on Tilted notes for a real corkboard feel.

Swipe gestures

Move fast with a flick of your thumb.

  1. Open a drop, then swipe up to close it.
  2. Swipe down on a drop to mark it done (when the whole drop fits on screen).
  3. Don't want gestures? Turn off Settings → Swipe gestures on drops.

Account

Account

Privacy and deleting your account

Your drops are yours. You can export or delete them any time.

  1. Your drops are encrypted for your account. We don't show ads or sell your data.
  2. Download your drops as a spreadsheet: on the web, open View options (the sliders button) → Export spreadsheet.
  3. To delete your account, open Settings and choose Delete account (on the web it's under Privacy & account).
  4. Deleting removes your drops, notebooks and settings for good. It can't be undone.
