Lock a drop or set
Keep a drop or set from being changed by accident, or keep it out of sight.
- Open the drop's menu and choose Lock…. For a set, use the set's menu or overview. There are two switches. Use one or both.
- Protect: the drop or set can't be edited, moved, completed, snoozed, grouped or deleted until you unlock it. A small lock shows on the card. On a set, it covers the set and every drop in it.
- Private: the card shows only its color and the word Private. To read it, confirm it's you with Face ID, Touch ID, your fingerprint or your device passcode. On the web, enter your account password. It stays open until you leave the app for more than a minute (5 minutes on the web).
- A private drop is left out of widgets, the Lock Screen, the watch, Kindle, the share sheet and search previews. Mia never reads it, not even when you text or email her. A private reminder still rings, but it just says "Private reminder".
- Turn the switches off in the same Lock… menu to unlock.
- Locking hides things on your screens. It isn't extra encryption: your drops are already encrypted on our servers the same way, locked or not.
